Design Review Steps

Updates:
On 10-4 we met to discuss next steps in designing our Donut yo-yo.
We began by brainstorming how we could potentially break the donut design into different parts, and what features would those parts have so that the pieces could be connected together.  By leveraging concepts from our previous experiences as well as concepts taught in lab, we came up with a rough design:

Sketching Dimensions:
Injection molded parts: plate, top & bottom donut halves, frosting
Thermoformed parts: sprinkles
Dimensions: plate diameter 2.5", donut diameter 2.25"

We broke up our design into different parts in order to split up the CAD and began to build out our preliminary ideas.  We also began to look through the other deliverables necessary in order to make sure we had a plan for what next steps looked like and how we were going to move forward.

We broke up the workload for the next week +  as follows:

Rough CAD to 3D print: Thomas

CAD Donut: Max
CAD Plate: Thomas
CAD Frosting: Jiyoung
CAD Sprinkles: Harith
CAD assembly: Madee

Gantt Chart: Jose
Blog Updates: Jose
